This is a maybe, due to the X-Men crossover. X-Men crossovers leave a bad taste in my mouth. It was the 90s, but I've got a long memory.

"War of the Marvels"? What is this "War of the Marvels"? Guess I've been skimming the comic news and missed something.


NEW AVENGERS #56
Oh man, it is not a good day for the New Avengers. Someone has invented a power disrupter and unleashed it in New York City. The heroes have fallen. Some are hurt bad, others near death. Who will rise to the challenge and save the day? A very important DARK REIGN issue. Something big happens. Not going to tell you what it is but it happens on page 17, panel 4.


I don't need convincing to get this one anyway.


AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #27
Blastaar's alien army has seized 42, the Initiative's prison in the Negative Zone. Someone has to take it back, and the Taskmaster has assembled a team to do just that. But when Komodo looks around her at the squad of Z-list super-villains she's supposed to go into battle with, she wonders if this is a recovery job...or a suicide mission! And when she encounters familiar faces who had been incarcerated within the prison, will they be friend or foe? Also, because you demanded it--the return of Butterball!

MARVEL ADVENTURES THE AVENGERS #39
TAKIN’ CARE OF BUSINESS: Aleksei Sytsevich just wants to retire. The economy is bad, and freelance jobs are harder to find. Business just isn’t what it used to be. It’s time to hang up the suit and live the good life. Of course, when the “business” is super-villain crime sprees as the Rhino, and the “suit” in question is his costume, the Rhino is finding it a bit harder to close the books on his “career.” Luckily, the Avengers are more than glad to help an old foe get out of the game, even if it means dealing with a little bit of trouble. Or, in this case, a LOT of trouble, because the Abomination and the Leader aren’t going to let their old teammate step away from the game quite that easily!

This one sounds good, hoping for more Young Avengers sightings!

“Wave of Mutilation,” Part 1 & 2
Deadpool has ceased to exist, he’s given his good-byes, he’s driven his car into the ocean. They’ll think he’s dead, but he’ll sail away. Then, he becomes a pirate!


Sounds like something the ten-year-old would come up with, also sounds good. :)

Think I'll get the Deadpool minis as trades.
